Molluscum Contagiosum
Molluscum Contagiosum (MC) is a common viral infection of the skin that causes painless, small flesh-colored bumps & can spread easily through skin-to-skin contact.
Symptoms
Symptoms can appear 1 to 6 weeks after contact with the virus.
- Small, pink or skin colored bumps on skin
- Bumps may itch
- Round in dome with a sunken center
- Bumps can form alone or in groups or clusters
Treatments
Treatment depends on your symptoms, age, and general health. In most cases, the bumps will heal without treatment over 2 to 12 months. Treatment options include:

- Topical therapy
