Lichen Planus (LP) is an inflammatory disease that can affect the skin and mucosal surfaces.
Symptoms
LP can cause significant symptoms that often affect patient’s quality of life.
- Itching is the most common symptom of skin lesions.
- Pain is the most common symptom of mucosal lesions.
- Rarely, long-standing lesions of LP can develop Squamous Cell Carcinoma.

- Oral steroids
- Systemic immune modulators
- Phototherapy
