Get to Know Honglin Xiao

How would you describe your approach to patient care?

I enjoy working together with my patients to reach a treatment plan that is safe and effective, taking into consideration each patient’s individual goals and expectations. I also enjoy the longitudinal nature of dermatologic care, hoping to build relationships that foster mutual respect and empathy.

What aspect of your work are you the most passionate about?

Continuing education, evidence-based decision making, and preventive measures. It is essential to stay current on treatment modalities that are grounded in well-conducted studies. It is also important to prevent skin diseases before they occur and ensure the longevity of skin health in all patients.

What do you hope to accomplish for patients?

I hope to empower patients with evidence-based dermatologic knowledge and participate in shared decision-making with them. I want my patients to feel heard and comfortable with their physician.
