Where can you get dermal fillers? What do they do?
Injectables are generally safe to treat these areas:
Upper and Mid-face
- Smooth out the area under your eyes (tear troughs / under eye circles)
- Lift and restore volume to sunken cheeks, sunken temples
- Strengthen jaw lines, reduce “jowls” or the indentations along the lower jaw, and soften deep lines running from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth (marionette lines / vertical “sad smile wrinkles” / laugh lines)
Chin
- Diminish creases and dimples
- Enhance “weak” or recessed chins
Lips
- Plump up thin lips
- Smooth out vertical lip lines and lift down-turned mouths
Hands
- Erase fine lines and rejuvenate the back of bony hands
Which dermal fillers do I need?
What works well for you may not be the best option for someone else. That’s because each dermal filler is specially formulated for its specific application. FDA-approved fillers are classified by what they are made of. Some brand name fillers include Juvéderm (Juvéderm XC, VOLUMA, VOLBELLA, VOLLURE) and RHA (RH 2, RH 3, and RH 4).
During your one-on-one consultation at Dermatology Aesthetics, one of our experienced dermal filler providers will help you explore options. Together, you’ll decide which injectable makes the most sense based on your aesthetic goals.
How long does it take to see results?
Good news! In most cases, you’ll notice improvements right away immediately after treatment. Typically, there is little to no downtime after getting dermal fillers, but your provider will let you know specifics about what to expect before your treatment.
Most injectable procedures take between 15 and 30 minutes and require one visit.
How long do injectables last?
The effects of fillers last from 12 to 24 months depending on the type and areas where they are used, giving you long-lasting but not life-long, permanent results.
Unlike cosmetic surgery, in the rare occasions where hyaluronic acid fillers produce unanticipated results, the procedure is quickly (and completely) reversible using hyaluronidase.
How do you know if dermal fillers are right for you?
