Dermatology, Inc. was founded in 1968 and has grown into the largest dermatology practice in central Indiana. Our board certified physicians and allied health professionals combine extensive years of experience and cumulative knowledge along with a patient centered approach to provide the highest quality care to the patients we serve. We are dedicated to medical excellence by utilizing advanced technology in the evaluation and treatment of medical, surgical and cosmetic skin care in both adults and children. We have multiple practice locations conveniently located throughout central Indiana in an effort to best service the needs of our patients. We welcome new patients and professional referrals to our growing practice.
Special Tuesdays
Our team of medical experts come together in a special clinic one Tuesday every month to see patients who have a unique medical condition or treatment challenge. Known within our practice as “Special Tuesday Clinic”, this clinic gives selected patients the opportunity to be evaluated at one time by our entire team of healthcare providers. Given our healthcare teams’ combined years of experience and training, coupled with hands-on evaluation and collaborative discussion, this unique clinic setting is another example of the advanced care available to the patients we serve.
Mohs’ Micrographic Surgery
To offer the most advance care, our practice has a board certified Mohs’ micrographic surgeon dedicated to the treatment of skin cancer. This highly specialized surgical technique gives the patient the highest chance for cure. The surgeon can pinpoint areas involved with cancer and selectively remove only those areas. The removal of normal tissue is minimized as much as possible.
Pediatric Dermatology
To specifically treat skin concerns that affect infants and children up to 12 years of age, our staff includes a board certified pediatric dermatologist. We like to say “small parts, big care”. Our highly trained physician is one of only a few such specialists in central Indiana.
Dermatopathology
To better serve the needs of dermatologists and related specialists, the practice developed its own laboratory in 1997. Our laboratory is staffed by board certified dermatopathologists, specializing in the precise and accurate diagnosis of specimens of the skin, hair and nails. Our laboratory is committed to fast, accurate service, with a 24 to 48 hour turnaround time, providing the opportunity for our clients to treat their patients in a timely manner.
Skin Screenings
To help educate people about the significance of sun protection and early skin cancer detection, our physicians routinely participate in free skin screenings throughout the local communities. In addition to being trained to evaluate and treat diseases of the skin, hair and nails, our physicians advocate prevention and early detection in an effort to find skin cancer in the earliest treatable stage. Volunteering to staff a local skin screening is one way to stress our commitment to protection and early detection.
